Anna – Head of Quality and Regulatory

I am an independent Quality & Regulatory Consultant – I never dreamt of being one as a child!
Starting my career in chilled food production was a jump into the deep end of fast-paced process efficiency – chilled food has a short shelf life after all, and anything but efficient processing, from the order to the delivery affects this. Food production is more similar to science than you may think, as food is a highly regulated industry, as is pharma and biotech, and the business processes involved are often similar.

Following my stint in food production, I put my Biology degree to good use, and since 2008 have worked in science, mainly with medical devices and IVD’s within the constraints of all the various regulations. I’ve worked in R&D, Technical Support, Process Improvement, QC, finally settling in Quality Assurance / Regulatory Affairs.

Soon after becoming a consultant and working for smaller firms, I realised I wanted to support start-ups, small and growing businesses within biotechnology. It’s a challenging sector with many big players to compete against. Solving problems as part of a small team is so rewarding – it’s great to see hard work come to fruition. It’s a pleasure to work with Cryoniss in enabling them to reach their goals.

My clients are IVD, medical device, or like Cryoniss – provide invaluable services that support this industry.

When I’m not reading the smallprint of the latest regulation, I can be found in the garden with a coffee, or perhaps a gin and tonic 😊
