An update from Sonia

It’s been almost three months since Cryoniss was acquired by Biofortuna Limited, and we’ve been busy in the background working with our extended new family to integrate our Quality Management System and team into Biofortuna’s world-class facilities.
Whilst all change brings its challenges, in this case it also brings many new opportunities. Now our “feet are under the table” we will not only ensure we continue to offer you the highest standard of service that you have all come to expect from us, but also begin the process of expanding our range of services.
While we have been keeping you updated on key changes, such as our move from Alderley Park to Biofortuna’s facility in Deeside, North Wales, I wanted to personally reach out to provide you with an update.
For those who know Phil and I, we founded Cryoniss with the goal of providing a world-class storage and logistics service that streamlined workflows, allowing researchers and clinicians to focus on delivering life-changing diagnostics and treatments to patients rapidly and to the strictest regulatory standards.
Phil and I will maintain commercial and operational responsibility of controlled environment storage within Biofortuna, including ICH stability storage. This will allow us to deliver our original goal within a larger team of highly skilled people and cutting-edge facilities and infrastructure.
Biofortuna, as many of you will know, are a laboratory services and diagnostic CDMO with a global customer portfolio and a vision to form lasting partnerships that enhance health and wellbeing. I am so pleased that the team and I are joining an organisation with values that so closely align to our own.
Over the past couple of months, our social media activity has been quiet as we focused on the integration. In the coming weeks, you’ll see more activity as we unveil our brand-new world-class cryostorage facility, expand our capabilities, and introduce the extended team ready to meet our customers’ needs.
For now, I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped me build Cryoniss from an idea, through its growth phase and eventual sale to Biofortuna. Alongside your support, I’ve had an exceptional team, expert advisors, and most importantly, a wonderful family and husband without whom this journey wouldn’t have been possible.
