“I’m Lazy. But it’s the lazy people who invented the wheel and bicycle because they didn’t like walking or carrying things.”
- Polish Nobel Prize winner Lech Walesa
Rather sums up most engineers, I aim to get maximum benefit from minimum effort. This has paid off for me, customers from my previous roles love the extra effort I put in to make their lives easier; from automated report generation of the composition of diving gases to programs to calculate dispense calibrations and development of mixed reality training guides to service centrifuges.
I started after college working at a small mass spectrometry company designing and building bespoke systems for scientific and process applications around the world and then after a short stint in an engineering role at GSK moved to work in AstraZeneca supporting and improving their next generation High Throughput Screening automation systems.
My next challenge is at Cryoniss, guiding them into a future operations world of ‘internet of things and process automation while managing their facilities and operations. I already feel at home and part of the team and looking forward to my future here.
