After working for twenty two years as a secondary school teacher of English, it’s as much a mystery to me as it probably is to you how I’ve ended up in this role. This much I know: I adore spotting inaccuracies, grammar policing, meeting deadlines and abiding by rules – all of which make me super popular, cool and endearing. Away from the spreadsheets, I love reading (I’m also a part time school librarian), bird-watching and generally hanging out with my children, trying to mould their impressionable minds into those of decent human beings.
